Pet Sitting & Dog Walking
All animals, required by law to have a rabies vaccination, must be current before beginning
service. Client must be ready to furnish proof of such vaccination. If pet sitter is bitten or
exposed to any disease or ailment received from client's pet(s) which is not current on
vaccinations, the client will be responsible for all costs and damages that may incur.
Pet sitter will make every attempt to administer medications as directed but cannot be held
responsible for complications that may arise from pet(s) refusal to cooperate. An excessively
shy cat, for example, can be a serious risk. If you have such an animal, please discuss this
thoroughly with the pet sitter before beginning service.
All dogs must be on a leash when being walked outdoors - no exceptions.
Two working copies of the client's house keys must be provided before the start of service, and
no garage door openers will be accepted in lieu of keys. If you live in a gated community, a gate
card or access code must be provided also. No keys will be hidden outside or locked inside
client's home at last visit. Keys will be returned in person, at no charge, after client's arrival
home. Clients may choose to have their house keys retained by No Place Like Home for the
convenience of future pet sitting jobs. Keys are coded for the safety and confidentiality of
clients and kept in a locked key repository. Clients will incur a $10.00 (per trip) charge if pet
sitter must make additional trips to pick up keys for future pet sitting jobs. In the unlikely
event that a lock malfunctions or client fails to leave keys with pet sitter and pet sitter
cannot gain access to client's home to care for pet(s), the client authorizes the pet sitter to
employ the services of a locksmith to gain entry into client's home on client's behalf. Client
will be responsible for all expenses incurred and will reimburse No Place Like Home upon return

behavior. It is the client's responsibility to notify No Place Like Home of any pet that has a
history of aggressive behavior or a history of biting. If concerns prohibit the pet sitter from
caring for the pet, the client authorizes the pet(s) to be placed in a kennel with all charges
there on to be charged to and paid by the client. The client will be liable for the pet sitter's
medical care expenses and damages that result from an animal bite.
In the event of inclement weather or natural disaster, the pet sitter will use their best
judgement in carrying out the terms of the service contract. Your pet(s) safety and well being
is No Place Like Home's first and foremost concern. During severe weather conditions, every
attempt will be made to ensure your pet(s) and home are safe and secure as soon as it is safe to
travel. Client's emergency contact (listed on the service contract) will be contacted if the pet
sitter is not able to make the appointed visit because of the weather. Every attempt will be
made to contact the client to advise them of the situation. Please be advised that the
scheduled visit may be changed, interrupted or altered due to severe weather circumstances
beyond the pet sitter's control.
In the event of an injury, serious illness or personal emergency of the pet sitter, the client
authorizes the pet sitter to arrange for another qualified person to fulfill responsibilities as
set forth in the service contract. The client will be notified if such action is required.
